App Content Guidelines
I. App Content Guidelines
If your app violates any relevant requirements and regulations during release and operation, you may face penalties such as app removal, rectification within a limited time, and account freezing:
- Violating the fundamental principles set forth in the Constitution.
- eopardizing national security, divulging state secrets, subverting the state power, or undermining the national unity.
- Damaging the reputation or interests of the state.
- Inciting ethnic hatred or discrimination to undermine ethnic solidarity; containing any content that can damage national unity and religious harmony and shall not slander, damage, vilify, or insult the traditional customs, taboos, and symbols with national characteristics that are unique to all ethnic groups in China.
- Content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, and serious disease or disability.
- Detrimental to state religious policies, propagating heretical or superstitious ideas.
- Spreading rumors to disturb economic and social order.
- Content that praises, supports or represents real organized violent groups or individuals, including those engaging in terrorism, crime and hate.
- Disseminating obscenity, pornography, force, brutality and terror or crime-abetting.
- Humiliating or defaming others or infringing upon their reputation, privacy and other legitimate rights and interests.
- Jeopardizing social morality or good national cultural traditions.
- Content that induces minors to commit acts against social morality, violate the law and crimes and that is harmful or might affect the physical and mental health of minors. ( The app shall comply with the Minors Protection Law, the Regulation on the Protection of Children's Personal Information Online and other applicable laws and regulations and industry standards. )
- Content that spams, defrauds, or misleads for the purpose of harming users.
- Content that exploits sensitive current or historical events, including natural disasters, deaths, serious diseases, or crises.
- Other contents prohibited by laws and administrative regulations.
II. In-app Purchases
- The price of all in-app purchases in your app must be clearly marked, and the services or content to be provided must also be clearly described. If the actual service or content does not match the description, your app may be removed, and your account may be suspended.
- App must not induce unprotected purchases in any form, including but not limited to direct payments outside the site, offline trades, and crowdfunding by QR code, etc.
- Your app shall not make automatic deductions of fees.
III. Application Advertising Compliance
Advertisements of applications shall follow the regulations and rules below:
- Advertisements shall be clearly and conspicuously marked with the word "advertisement".
- Advertisements shall not cheat or induce users to click on the content in any form, including the following: False functional prompt messages in the form of false updates, false error reporting, false memory cleaning, imitation of system pop-ups, etc.; False buttons in the form of false play, false pause, etc.; Other advertising forms of cheating or inducing users to click.
- Advertisements must be closeable and shall clearly display the sign of closing the advertisement such as "Skip/Close/×" at the beginning, and the sign shall be true and effective.
- If the operation method of clicking-triggered advertisement redirection is adopted, the clicking area shall be restricted and the words "Jump to a third-party App/details page" shall be shown in the clicking area. The application shall not force users to click on advertisements or submit personal information before the full functions of the application are available; If an advertisement is redirected due to the interaction operation other than clicking, the available operations shall be clearly shown in icons or text, and the words "Jump to a third-party App/details page" shall clearly indicate the interaction expectation, and explain the possible result after the user executes the corresponding operation.
- Advertisements must be closed when the application has been closed or running in the background.
- The in-App advertisement identifier shall only be used for advertisements and user analyses. The advertisement identifiers (e.g. OAID) shall not be associated with personal identification information or any permanent device identifiers (e.g. the device serial number, MAC address, and IMEI) without the explicit permission of the user.
IV. User Privacy and Data Protection
Applications shall comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Chinese Personal Information Protection Law, Data Security Law, Cybersecurity Law, Measures for Determining the Illegal Collection and Use of Personal Information by Apps, Regulation on the Protection of Children's Personal Information Online, Provisions on the Administration of Mobile Internet Applications Information Services, and other applicable laws and regulations or regulatory rules, and follow the legal, legitimate, and necessary principles, including but not limited to:
- Privacy Policy URL links to a privacy policy statement managed by the app’s Organization.
- Privacy Policy has a clear explanation of what data the app is collecting about the user.
- Privacy Policy has a clear explanation of how the app is using user data.
- Privacy Policy has a clear explanation of how the user may request that their user data that has been collected or stored can be deleted.
- Organization and app must clear data protection checks.
